That's what Kirk calls making your house more exciting, personalized, less like a contractor would do it.  I didn't take a before but you can see our entry way in the back ground here:

In the future I will of course remember to take action shots and have a series of the progress.  Greg and his dad did all the carpentry and Kris did the caulking and painting.  We really enjoying doing things like this around the house and we feel like we are learning some new skill too.
